Entering a new year can be tough. Expectations are looming. New Year's resolutions are begging for swift completion. The world is your oyster, but that oyster has yet to be shucked. On the other hand, there is surfing - always awaiting your companionship when a moment of clarity is paramount. Ryan Tatar's a photographer who knows when and where those moments exist.

Kanoa Zimmerman has long been a favorite of ours. The moody characteristics embedded in his work parallel his quiet, humble manner. Don't let his gentle personality fool you, though. He tackles mean, sizeable surf with the best of them.

Mollusk is pleased to announce a special exhibition with long-time Mollusk comrade Thomas Campbell entitled "Overwhelming Color Fast."
Campbell will be totally filling The Mollusk SF gallery (floor, walls, ceiling) with new works and a large smattering of pieces from his dusty archive (photos, paintings, video installation, sculptures, ceramics, prints, weird sleds, and other junk). There will be a fire sale aspect to this show, so most pieces will have extremely slashed prices. This show will run November 19th to December 15th (in time for Xmas gift giving).
The opening reception is November 19th from 7 to 10pm. There will be live music featuring a very heavy cast of musical friends. Tommy Guerrero, Andy Cabic of Vetiver, and Alexi Glickman and Soupy Dave from Sandy's will be forming to lay down a song cycle jam type situation. That will be accompanied by projected visuals by Mr. Campbell as well. This event is not one to miss.
