Egg
Gary Hanel approaches his egg surfboards from a performance design rather than a retro or beginner board angle. Basically your standard rounded shortboard tail, along with clean foiled rails and a nice tucked under edge, with a slightly longer length and fuller nose. In addition the board features a moderate rocker. This board is designed to rip!
Twin
All around ripper fish... Gary Hanel approaches his designs from a performance background, but stills gives the board a traditional fish outline. This creates a board with the glide of a retro fish, but with a modern rail, moderate rocker, and single to double concave, making this fish one of the most versatile fishes that we carry at Mollusk.
Because this board has a moderate rocker and lower volume rail, you don't want to go too short. We recommend going 4–6 inches less than your traditional shortboard.

Gary Hanel shapes these single fins logs with an all around approach; combining foiled rails for down-the-line carves and a blended nose concave for tip time. These boards work in small waves, medium waves and bigger waves. Gary Hanel logs are perfect for the longboard surfer who wants their board to do everything as well as for the shortboard surfer who wants to jump on a log once in awhile, without having to deal with awkward transitions.
